Product Marketing Manager

Decision Lens is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to shape how we position, launch, and communicate our integrated planning software to public sector organizations. This role translates complex product capabilities into clear, mission-aligned value for government leaders modernizing how they prioritize, plan, and fund.

The PMM owns competitive positioning, product messaging, and go-to-market execution, while partnering closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience teams. This role also contributes to strategic market definition and participates across the product lifecycle, helping shape market insights, segmentation, and post-launch evolution — in collaboration with Product leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities

Positioning & Messaging
  • Own product positioning, differentiation, and core messaging, and help drive brand and corporate messaging frameworks.
  • Translate product capabilities into compelling, mission-aligned value for federal, state, and local government buyers.
  • Ensure messaging aligns with roadmap priorities and real customer needs.
  • Incorporate outcomes, ROI, and proof points into narratives.
Market & Product Strategy
  • Partner with Product and Customer Experience to support market research, customer problem discovery, and segmentation.
  • Synthesize customer feedback, competitive signals, and public-sector market dynamics into actionable insights.
  • Help shape buyer personas, value frameworks, and strategic narratives that inform product and GTM decisions.

Sales Enablement & Campaign Support

  • Develop sales enablement materials and lead internal training on product value and differentiation.
  • Support campaigns, events, and solicitations with clear positioning and messaging frameworks.
  • Partner with marketing teams to ensure consistency and impact across GTM motions.
Go-to-Market & Lifecycle Participation
  • Own go-to-market launches for new features, capabilities, and solutions.
  • Define what is “marketable” vs. purely technical, aligned to buyer readiness and procurement realities.
  • Participate in post-launch lifecycle activities, including adoption insights, messaging refreshes, and feedback-driven iteration.

Competitive Intelligence & Research

  • Lead competitive intelligence efforts, including market research, win/loss insights, and competitive analysis.
  • Maintain competitive narratives and enablement assets to support sales and capture efforts.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA Preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, B2B or B2G marketing, or a related role, with demonstrated ownership of product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution.
  • Proven ability to translate complex product capabilities into clear, mission-aligned value propositions and outcomes that resonate with public sector buyers.
  • Strong storytelling skills grounded in competitive analysis, with experience developing differentiated narratives, proof points, and positioning against real market alternatives.
  • Experience operating in an AI-first, data- and process-driven marketing environment, using insight, feedback loops, and market signals to inform messaging and strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in highly cross-functional environments, partnering effectively with Product, Marketing, Sales, Capture, and GTM stakeholders.
  • Strong experience, if not fluency, working with the federal sector, including familiarity with mission-driven selling, procurement dynamics, and the realities of implementing change in government organizations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and align teams around a common narrative.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
  • Creative, analytical, and resourceful, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Experience with ChatGPT, Hubspot, Canva, CMS, and project management tools (Monday, Asana etc.) preferred.
