Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing

The Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing is responsible for leading Decision Lens’ next phase of growth. This leader will design and execute an integrated sales and marketing strategy to drive growth while serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO.

The ideal candidate blends high-level strategic thinking with disciplined operational execution. They challenge assumptions, bring structure to ambiguity, and inspire teams to consistently outperform expectations. This executive will ensure that all growth functions work in concert and align the organization around a unified growth strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Lead and drive the enterprise growth strategy to consistently exceed new business targets.

  • Integrate Sales and Marketing into a unified, high-velocity growth engine.

  • Collaborate across the organization, ensuring alignment and support for growth targets.

  • Define ideal customer profiles, competitive positioning, and repeatable go-to-market playbooks.

  • Own the new business revenue plan — forecasting, modeling, and setting growth targets in partnership with the executive team.

Sales Leadership

  • Build and scale a modern, metrics-driven B2G sales organization grounded in consultative selling, including the strategy, structure, roles, and enablement needed for growth.

  • Elevate the sales organization by implementing standardized sales processes and delivering ongoing training to drive consistent, high-quality execution.

  • Strengthen expansion strategies in collaboration with our Customer Experience Team.

  • Ensure a disciplined, data-driven sales process (e.g., MEDDIC, SPICED) with clear stages and exit criteria. Instill operating rigor around pipeline management to ensure a high-quality, reliable forecast.

  • Report on new business performance and build visibility into pipeline health, conversion rates, and organizational capacity. Lead QBRs and regular reporting for new business.

Marketing Leadership

  • Oversee market insights, positioning, and thought leadership efforts — shaping our value in the government market and informing growth strategy.

  • Drive a test-and-learn culture — experiment, measure, refine, and scale what works.

  • Align marketing to the unique dynamics of the government market, ensuring all programs, messaging, and campaigns are purpose-built for government buyers.

  • Represent Decision Lens externally through strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and active participation in key industry events and associations to accelerate growth.



Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.

  • 15+ years of federal technology sales experience with a proven track record of driving growth.

  • Experience in the sales of integrated software and services solutions is a plus.

  • Experience leading federal sales and marketing teams in complex or high-growth environments.

  • Experience in the Civilian, Defense, Health, and Intelligence Federal market segments is a plus as is experience in State and Local Government sales.

  • Proven ability to design and scale integrated sales and marketing systems that deliver measurable revenue results.

  • Innovative learning mindset with a willingness to challenge assumptions and adopt modern go-to-market practices.

  • Deep data fluency and comfort with metrics-driven decision-making, coaching, and resource allocation.

  • Strong operational discipline with a passion for building people, structure, and cross-functional alignment.

  • Strong executive presence with exceptional emotional intelligence, communication and presentation skills.

  • Security clearance eligibility required.

Location: Washington D.C. area preferred. Decision Lens is headquartered in Arlington, VA. This role may require up to 30% travel.
