Data Integration Solutions Architect

Decision Lens is seeking a impact-driven Data Integration Solutions Architect with deep technical expertise and a creative problem-solving mindset to help our customers design and implement data integration strategies that maximize the value of the Decision Lens platform. This role is embedded with customer organizations to evaluate integration approaches, lead implementation, drive automation, and utilize AI-driven tools to accelerate time-to-value and enable real-time decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities

Integration Strategy and Architecture

  • Assess Data Ecosystems: Evaluate customers’ existing data environments and architecture to identify optimal integration approaches (e.g., ERP systems, data lakes, APIs, or scheduled data pulls) that seamlessly connect Decision Lens.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with client stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend scalable integration strategies that align with enterprise architecture standards, compliance requirements, and security policies.

Implementation, Automation, and AI

  • Lead Integration Projects: Develop and deploy best-in-class technologies, agile practices, ETL tools, APIs, and AI/ML to build secure, high-performance connections, streamline workflows, minimize errors, and accelerate near-real-time insights.
  • Reusable Tools: Develop integration templates and analytics tools that accelerate solution delivery, improve scalability, and foster continuous improvement and innovation across customer engagements.
Client Engagement and Enablement
  • Trusted Advisor: Build strong, trust-based relationships with client stakeholders to guide technical decision-making with a customer-centric approach and communicate complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Deliver documentation and training to ensure long-term sustainability and self-sufficiency in managing integrations.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Decision Lens Customer Experience, OCM, Product, and Engineering teams to align integrations with adoption goals and to inform the product roadmap and drive continuous improvements in our platform.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree or above preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in data integration, data engineering, or enterprise systems consulting — preferably within public sector environments and SaaS solutions.
  • Expertise in applying the latest AI/ML technologies to accelerate data integration and maximize the value of the Decision Lens platform.
  • Experience integrating with common public-sector systems (e.g., Oracle Financials, SAP ERP, or other enterprise financial/project management tools) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Decision Lens platform data structures, workflows, and integration points or similar software is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of data modeling, relational and dimensional database design, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong understanding of data security principles, including access controls, encryption, and secure data transfer protocols.
  • Proficiency with:
    • Database management systems: e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle.
    • ETL processes and tools: e.g., Talend, Informatica, Apache NiFi, or custom scripting for data pipelines.
    • Data modeling and integration frameworks: e.g., ER/Studio, dbt, and API-based integration techniques.
    • Cloud platforms: e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and their integration services.
    • Business Intelligence Tools: e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik.
    • Programming Languages: e.g., R, Python
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and troubleshooting skills – able to navigate complex technical environments and resolve issues quickly.
  • Exceptional communication, emotional intelligence (EQ) and client relationship skills; able to advise and influence technical decisions at multiple organizational levels.
  • Mission-Focus: Passion for customer success and improving mission outcomes through data and technology integration.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. top-secret security clearance.

Location:  Remote (Washington, DC area preferred).  This role requires onsite client engagement for periods typically ranging from 3 to 6 months. Decision Lens headquarters are located in Arlington, VA.
