Director of Sales - DoD

Decision Lens is seeking an ambitious Director of Sales who is passionate about innovative and disruptive technology. The primary responsibility of the role is to generate and close enterprise-class business within the Federal Government. We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of building new customer relationships, managing complex procurement processes, securing six figure deals, and achieving 100%+ quota targets. 

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex sales cycle with senior level stakeholders to close new business
  • Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new accounts in the territory including evaluating the customer’s needs, creating and articulating an innovative value-proposition, providing leadership as to how the solution delivers to their needs
  • Develop and grow territory pipeline through lead generation activities and partnerships
  • Consistently and accurately forecast bookings
  • Provide functional overview demonstrations that highlight to the customer the solution’s value proposition
  • Demonstrate success in selling in both individual and team selling environments
  • Stay abreast of clients’ drivers and current events affecting their organizations
  • Work closely with solutions engineering, marketing and other sales assets

 Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred
  • Minimum five years of experience in technology sales, consulting sales or business development required
  • Experience closing large-scale enterprise sales in the Federal Government required, experience with Air Force or Army preferred
  • Intricate familiarity with procurement processes.
  • Experience calling on C-level & high-ranking executives
  • Goal-oriented and incentive driven with a history of achievement
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Security clearance eligibility required
  • Travel is required
