WASHINGTON STATE OFFICE OF THE CIO AWARDED VENTANA LEADERSHIP AWARD IN IT ANALYTICS FOR USE OF DECISION LENS SOFTWARE

DEPUTY CIO MICHAEL DEANGELO HIGHLIGHTED FOR IMPACTFUL USE OF PRIORITIZATION ANALYTICS FOR IMPROVED IT PERFORMANCE

Ventana Research recognized the State of Washington’s Deputy CIO Michael DeAngelo and the State Office of the CIO (OCIO) for being leaders in business and technology. Ventana awarded the team with the IT Analytics award for their effective and impactful use of Decision Lens technology.  Washington State is using Decision Lens to improve their overall IT performance by prioritizing all of their technology projects with deep analytics and a rigorous and transparent process.

The Ventana Leadership Awards recognize noteworthy organizations that have advanced business leadership by effectively utilizing their people, processes, information and technology to achieve the best outcomes as well as the innovative technology for IT and business. The leadership awards showcase both organizations and the leaders and pioneers who have contributed to their organizations’ successes. These practitioners exemplify the fact that delivering business success requires the successful efforts of a team guided by strong, visionary, effective leadership.

“It’s an honor to be recognized for the prioritization analytics we’re adding to our spending decisions because we’re definitely proud of them,” DeAngelo said. ”Prioritizing the diverse set and long list of technology need across state government has been a complex and overwhelming problem that has plagued us for years. Our process now gives the Office of the CIO, the Governor’s office, and the Legislature an unprecedented level of transparency into the technology needs of the state and the ability to collaboratively prioritize the investments.”

“We are thrilled to see Washington State OCIO recognized for their work as business leaders,” said John Kealey, Chief Executive Officer of Decision Lens. “Knowing our software solutions are able to contribute to their success, even in a small way, is a pride of Decision Lens.”

Decision Lens software is used across commercial and government organizations for better prioritization and resource allocation.
