GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION SELECTS DECISION LENS FOR LEASE OPTIMIZATION AND CAPITAL PLANNING

Decision Lens, a leading provider of Web-based collaborative decision making software, has been selected by the General Services Administration Public Buildings Service (PBS) for capital planning and the optimization of real property holding leases.

Founded in 1949, the General Services Administration is an independently-run agency dedicated to the support and management of basic functions for agencies in the United States government.  The PBS branch specifically oversees the management of office space for government employees, and will utilize Decision Lens for resolving a variety of facility decisions, as well as the development of their annual Capital Investment Program. The Public Buildings Service branch will also use Decision Lens for the comparison of building metrics (that is, each building’s condition, location, tenants etc.), in order to accurately direct Congressionally-appropriated yearly funds for building maintenance.

“With the recent focus in the House on adopting Base Realignment and Closure practices for civilian real property holdings, PBS may soon be held even more accountable for decisions related to the maintenance and general inventory of federal buildings.” explained John Saaty, Decision Lens CEO.  “Decision Lens provides strong solutions to effectively analyze and prioritize factors in facilities resource planning.”

Decision Lens software is used widely amongst the most successful national and international organizations.  Commercial clients include Kraft, Johnson & Johnson, Genentech, Siemens, and professional sports teams such as the the Calgary Flames among others.  Governmental clients include the US Joint Staff, Navy, USDA, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, and San Francisco Municipal Transit Authority among many others.
