DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY EXPANDS DECISION LENS LICENSE TO DISTRIBUTION DIVISION

Decision Lens, a leading provider of Web-based collaborative decision making software, has expanded its existing licensing agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), to provide software and professional services to Defense Logistics Agency Distribution. The financial terms of the expanded license were not disclosed.

Under the agreement, DLA will use Decision Lens software for Military Construction and the Facility Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (SRM) program.

DLA is the Department of Defense's largest logistics combat support agency, providing worldwide logistics support in both peacetime and wartime to the military services as well as several civilian agencies and foreign countries.
Defense Logistics Agency Distribution has 26 sites around the world, responsible for the receipt, storage, issue, packing, preservation and transportation of more than 4 million items per year. 

Decision Lens will enable DLA Distribution to fulfill its mission by facilitating trade-off decisions across various supply chains (such as medicine, food rations, etc.), energy needs, and within DLA's internal business and finance systems.

DLA already uses Decision Lens software for Performance, Planning, Program and Budget Execution (PPBE), ensuring logistics, readiness and sustainment of America's warfighters. The agency already uses Decision Lens to prioritize resource allocation for Stewardship Excellence and Workforce Development, as well as allocation of funds and prioritization of programs for its force structure, resource and assessment directorate (J8).
