DECISION LENS SELECTED BY CENTERS FOR MEDICARE & MEDICAID SERVICES FOR IT PRIORITIZATION

Decision Lens Platform to be Used to Improve U.S. Health Agency’s Technology Infrastructure

Decision Lens, the leading provider of cloud-based collaborative resource optimization software, announced today that it has been chosen by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide prioritization services for its Information Technology (IT) projects. Following its IT prioritization efforts, CMS plans to utilize Decision Lens for a number of other budget optimization, grant allocation, and vendor selection decisions. CMS works to help Americans improve their health care options with increased access to coverage and better care.

CMS, a federal agency and branch of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, administers Medicare, Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) program in partnership with state governments, and private health insurance programs including Health Insurance Marketplaces. It also provides information for health professionals, regional governments, and consumers. The Medicare program is the nation’s largest health insurer, handling more than 1 billion claims per year. Medicare and Medicaid together provide health care insurance for over 100 million Americans.

John Kealey, CEO of Decision Lens remarked, “government agencies like the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services are at a crossroads concerning sequestration, most organizations today are still relying on manual steps to make critical budget decisions. Decision Lens improves the process by streamlining IT project prioritization and optimize resource allocation. This comprehensive and proven resource optimization platform adds the missing science and technology components to arrive at the best possible plan for the business and its stakeholders.”

Decision Lens provides guidance and support for many commercial and government enterprises focused on healthcare, science, and medicine. The company works closely with Johnson & Johnson, MedImmune, National Institutes of Health, and Pfizer, among other notable health clients.
