DECISION LENS CHOSEN BY USMC PEO LAND SYSTEMS TO ALLOCATE RESOURCES ACROSS $9 BILLION PORTFOLIO

Decision Lens, a leading provider of desktop and Web-based collaborative decision making software, has been selected by the Science and Technology group of the Marine Corps’ Program Executive Officer Land Systems (PEO LS) for prioritization and resource allocation decisions for the PEO’s vast program management portfolio.

The only Executive Office for the Marine Corps Program, PEO LS manages eight federal defense program initiatives, with an estimated value of approximately $9 billion, as stated in the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP). Among these programs are Acquisition Category (ACAT) I and II weapon systems, including the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (the EFV, the Corps’ largest ground acquisition program), and the Marine Personnel Carrier (MPC), and Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV), among others.

PEO LS is located at Hospital Point in Quantico, VA, and reports directly to the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research Development and Acquisition ASN (RDA).

“Being the sole office of its kind, PEO LS is uniquely obliged to communicate not only with the Marine Corps, but also across the eight federal defense programs it oversees,” said Decision Lens CEO John Saaty. “Decision Lens provides the software solution necessary for allowing an operation of this size to run as efficiently as possible, and to expedite the prioritization and allocation of resources for the systems PEO LS manages.”

Decision Lens software is used widely amongst the most successful national and international organizations.  Commercial clients include Kraft, Johnson & Johnson, Genentech, Siemens, and professional sports teams such as the Oakland A’s and Calgary Flames among others.  Governmental clients include the US Joint Staff, Navy, USDA, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, and San Francisco Municipal Transit Authority among many others.
