District of Columbia Department of Transportation
Capital Planning
The District of Columbia Department of Transportation (DDOT) is using Decision Lens to prioritize and allocate resources to various transportation related projects across the nation’s capital. The mission of DDOT is to develop and maintain a cohesive, sustainable transportation system that delivers safe, affordable, and convenient ways to move people and goods — while protecting and enhancing the natural, environmental, and cultural resources of the District. Washington, D.C. has the second-busiest transit system in the nation and the second-highest walk-to-work rate among major U.S. cities, and has introduced the first public bicycle-sharing program in the country. With the addition of Decision Lens, DDOT can continue to expand its offerings while simultaneously meeting the needs of all riders and stakeholders.
